During this holiday season we wish Merry Christmas to all our friends. May God continue to keep you in His loving care and know that you are remembered in our prayers and good works each day. We couldn't continue our ministry without your support.
This is a busy time of year for us. We've delivered Thanksgiving meals to the homebound elderly and are currently working on our Christmas lists for the most needy. We are planning a Christmas party for our clients so that they can enjoy a social activity during this time of year, when lonliness is never far away. If you would like to volunteer to assist us, please just give a call.
The 8th Annual Stars on Broadway fundraiser for the SSMI Endowment in Memory of Sr. Amelia Kuska is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2008. Mark your calendars!!! More news next year.
The 7th Annual Stars on Broadway fundraiser for the SSMI Endowment in
Memory of Sr. Amelia Kuska was held on Saturday, September 20, 2008. Once again the event was a HUGE
success. Over 220 guests enjoyed the evening; eating great ethnic, dancing to old favorites and
bidding on various silent auction gifts & other raffles. The Sisters, Board of Trustees & Advisory
Board wish to thank all those that attended & all others who purchased raffle tickets, bought
advertisements or contributed items to the silent auction. We are truly blessed to have such great
friends & benefactors. All proceeds will be used to help the Sisters continue their Ministery to the Aged.
The Sisters assist over 200 clients. Whether it's a reassuring phone call, help translating a doctor's orders, picking up necessities at the grocery store or an emergency food delivery, many elderly couldn't survive without the Sister'care.
