This year the annual fundraiser for the Sister's Special Ministry will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010, from 6:00pm to 11:00pm at the Polish American Cultural Center, 6501 Lansing Ave. in Cleveland's historic Slavic Village neighborhood. Plans are currently being finalized for the event.
Tickets are $60 per person and will be available in early summer. Due to the smaller capacity in the new venue, seating will be limited. The event price includes an ethnic dinner, open bar and door prize ticket.
The goal of this year's event is to share time with the Sisters. There will be no silent auction so that guests will have more time to socialize both with the Sisters and other guests. This year's event will again feature the wheelbarrow of spirits raffle, mystery grab bags and door prizes. There may be additional raffles. Stay tuned for the latest info as plans are finalized.
As in year's past this event is to benefit the SSMI Endowment Fund in Memory of Sister Amelia Kuska. The endowment was established to help ensure that the Sister's ministry to serve the needs of the elderly in Northeast Ohio continues. It is sponsored by the Board of Trustees and the Advisory Board.
